Great Lent 2026

Our Journey to Pascha

"The Lenten spring has come – the light of repentance! O brothers, let us cleanse ourselves from all evil, crying out to the Giver of Light: Glory to Thee, O Lover of man."

Plan to join us for the following services offered throughout Great Lent:

  • Monday – Great Compline at 6:00pm

  • Wednesday – 9th Hour and Presanctified Liturgy at 5:00pm, followed by a Lenten potluck

  • Friday – 9th Hour and Presanctified Liturgy at 9:30am; Salutations to the Theotokos at 5:00pm

  • Saturday – Vespers at 5:00pm

  • Sunday – Pan‑Orthodox Vespers at 5:00pm

Recurring Lenten Services

Schedule Confession

Confessions will be offered prior to weekly services throughout Lent. You are invited to schedule your confession with Fr. Gabriel by clicking below. 

Confessions are also available on Saturday evenings following Vespers without an appointment.

The Orthodox Faith Class
3-Part Series

We warmly invite all inquirers, catechumens, and faithful to join us for a three‑part series exploring the Orthodox faith.

  • Part 1 - The Creed and Lenten Preparation with Fr. Gabriel

           (2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 3/1)

  • Part 2 - Salvation and Sacraments with Fr. Benedict

          (3/8, 3/15, 3/22, 3/29)

  • Part 3 - The Pentecostarion Period with David Dinsmore

         (4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10)

Families & Children

Families are invited to enter into the life of Great Lent together!

  • Consider attending at least one additional Lenten service each week as a family.

  • Set aside a time for the whole family to go to confession during the season.

  • Mark your calendars: Children are encouraged to take part in the special activities and preparations on Lazarus Saturday and Holy Friday.

Attend Bible Study

Bible Study will be offered on Friday mornings following the Presanctified Liturgy. We will continue our study of St. Paul’s Second Letter to the Corinthians.

If you are unable to attend in person but would like to follow along, you may listen to Fr. Gabriel’s podcast, Alive in Christ.

Pan-Orthodox Vespers

The following parishes will host a Pan-Orthodox Vespers service on Sunday evenings beginning at 5pm.

  • March 1 - Assumption of the Theotokos Denver Cathedral (Denver, CO)

  • March 8 - Holy Transfiguration of Christ Orthodox Cathedral (Denver, CO)

  • March 15 - St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church (Arvada, CO)

  • March 22 - St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church (Greenwood Village, CO)

  • March 29 - Sts. Peter & Paul Greek Orthodox Church (Boulder, CO)
